Sharon Singer is a skillful facilitator, who has a passion for writing discovery. A writing mentor, editor and poet who has established and participated in writing groups for 30 years, her work has been published in literary magazines and journals in both Canada and the U.S. including Fireweed (Toronto), Canadian Woman Studies (Toronto), Herizons (Winnipeg), The Prairie Journal (Calgary), Canadian Literature (Vancouver), Original Blessing (Oakland, California) and The Sun, A Magazine of Ideas (Chapel Hill, N.C). With a background that includes two English degrees and support from the Ontario Arts Council, Sharon has brought her intuitive and empathetic heart to a range of work including artistic direction and counseling individuals and families in crisis. She founded the moving pen writing classes in 2001.
Sharon is blessed with two extraordinary and creative daughters-- Layah and Sasha.
